 Today, BlackBerry  is one of  the most famous brand of smart phones. More people are craving to have one not only for the reason of  to be envied by others but because of it's undeniably amazing features. BlackBerry was invented in Canada by Mike Lazaridis and Jim Balsillie co-CEOs of Research In Motion (RIM), a wireless communications company. But BlackBerry did not became a star in an instant. The truth is, it's been around since 1999 and only gained popularity until early 21st century. In November of 2004, Research In Motion (RIM) announced that there were over 2 million BlackBerry subscribers worldwide. This was up from 1 million earlier in the year. So yes, that means that it took five years to get the first 1 million, and then 10 months to have another 1 million subscribers. The third came just six months after that, in May of 2005. Less than a year later,subscribers totaled 5 million.In the year 2007, RIM has added another 9 million subscribers, and in year 2008 they have a total of 14 million subscribers.
